Favorite Country Jam memory?
Playing catch with the football with 13 year old LeAnn Rimes backstage. She throws a rope spiral.

Second favorite Jam Memory?
Being the MC and bringing on George Strait in 2004. The last act at any festival is a mega star and normally their road manager only gives you a few seconds of stage time to give the intro and then 15 minutes later the show actually begins. Hey, that’s show biz! With George Strait I was able to uncork the intro I’ve always dreamed of doing...one that builds and builds until crowd gets whipped into frenzy as I give each exciting accomplishment. To the point the screams are deafening...then that band kicks into the first song as you belt out... “Please welcome George Strait!” It happened like that. Then I turned around and George flashed me that million-dollar smile as I walked past him. I kinda smiled too.

Is your wife really a pastor?
Diane, my wife of more than 25 years is in seminary studying to be an ordained pastor in 2007. Good for me as I need forgiveness after uttering some of the words I say watching Packer games lately.

Would you stop talking about your grandson already?
No can do. Just love that little boy, Alex. Any grandparent will back me on this one. Luckily he was born during intermission during Country Jam..so I could visit him at Sacred Heart Hospital just after he was born...then get back to Jam and keep my record alive of not missing a Jam act since the festival began in 1990. Hello, Guinness?

George House has more CMA awards than Toby Keith?
Strange but true. (George won CMA Broadcast Personality of the Year in 1992 and 2003). Can you believe with all that Toby has giving to country music and it’s fans he only has one CMA award?

Favorite TV show?
Reno 911 on the Comedy Channel. I own all the DVD’s.

Hobbies?
Reading & Running. I’ve run 5 marathons. That 26.2 miles. Yep...that’s crazy but it’s my one health and exercise commitment... so I can grow old with that pastor lady and that grandson.

Something about WAXX 104.5 co-host Katie you don’t know?
She gives most relationships the ax after about 2 weeks. Plus her parents are getting itchy to have grand kids. She’s always asking me for advice. Sorry partner...I’m with your folks on this one!
