Hey!  It's Katie and I made it to Nashville....my little Honda was so overstuffed with clothes, shoes, etc etc ...thanks to my good friend Angie who is a car packing pro...I fit it all in and made it safely.  I rolled into town Tuesday evening and hit my favorite spots right away.  It was an overwhelming feeling to see the city skyline...I lived here 5 years ago and always knew in my heart I'd be back so you can probably imagine the "is this really happening?!?!" feeling I had as I got into town.  Of course I shed a few tears!  But I quickly pulled it together and hit Broadway.  If you've never been here I will explain Broadway for you....and if you have been here and spent some time on Broadway then you know how awesome it is!  It is very historic with lots n lots of honkytonks full of people having a great time, listening to live musicblows  all day and all night.  It blows my mind how you can just go down to Broadway 7 days a week...during the day OR night...and hear fantastic live music for FREE!  It's cool because everyone here wants to make it so badly so each bar has the best of the best playing...you bring a few extra bucks to tip the band as they pass their tip jar around but basically you get to listen to awesome live music anytime you want.  I did shoot a few video blogs for you to see as soon as I got out of the car.  I'll get them posted early next week- you will see a quick overview of Broadway, The Ryman...which has so much history!- it's the "Mother Church of Country Music"...where it all started...and of course I took you to Tootsie's Orchid Lounge.  I hired an intern...after a very tough interview process! :)....his name is Big D and you will get to know lots about him.  But he's in the video blogs too.  You can check out all the new vid blogs on our homepage under "Waxx caught on tape"....I promise to show you all (or most!) of Music City....including Tim & Faith's house (I may be in the bushes BUT you will get the pic :) ).  Since I got into town I have been unpacking and unpacking - seems like a zillion boxes but tonight we are going out with some of my old friends that I've kept in touch with over the years.  We will be down on Broadway trying to stay out of trouble....trying hard.  Have a fab weekend and I can't wait to talk to you all (NOT YA'LL!) this Wednesday when George & I are back together again doing mornings!  Love, Katie (from Nashville!)
